Shifting Paradigms in Contemporary Ceramics: The Garth Clark and Mark Del Vecchio Collection March 4 - June 3, 2012 Major contemporary ceramics exhibition, showcasing nearly 200 works acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in 2007. This exhibition of modern and contemporary ceramics embodies 5 decades of collecting. The show organized by Cindi Strauss will present the Clark/Del Vecchio collection on a large scale for the first time. Opening weekend coincides with the annual Ruth K. Ellen Abbott & Marc Leva While I was working on this piece, a pair of wrens built a nest and hatched a chick in the garage. When the chick fledged, they raised it all around the house and I would see it every day. So that is how the scroll with the story of the wrens raising their chick came to be inside the box. - Ellen See more new work on their website. |
